Frequently asked questions
What is Noxentry?
Noxentry is a community safety app. It shows real-time local safety alerts around you, lets you report incidents you see, and gives you an SOS that shares your live location with the people you trust.
Where do the alerts come from?
Two sources. Official alerts come from public police and traffic feeds in supported regions. Community alerts are reported by Noxentry users near you. Official alerts are clearly marked "Official".
What's the difference between Official and community alerts?
Official alerts come from public authority feeds and are read-only. Community alerts are submitted by users, and the community can confirm them or mark them resolved. Official alerts are kept for the last 10 days; community alerts stay until resolved.
How do I report an alert?
Open the Map and tap the report button, choose a category and severity, add a short description and an optional photo, then submit. Your report appears for people nearby.
What does the "I'm in danger" SOS button do?
It starts a distress signal that shares your live location with your SOS contacts (and your travel group, if you have one) and posts a high-priority alert nearby so people around you can help. A short countdown lets you cancel an accidental trigger.
Who gets notified when I trigger SOS?
Your accepted SOS contacts and any active travel-group members. Even with none set up, it still posts a nearby community alert. You can see how many people will be reached before you send, and responders can tap "I'm coming" to let you know help is on the way.
How do I add SOS contacts?
Open the People tab and tap Add. You can find people from your phone contacts who already use Noxentry, or share an invite link. They become an SOS contact once they accept.
What is Travel Mode?
Travel Mode lets you browse the safety picture of another city before or during a trip. Your real-location SOS and live features stay active wherever you actually are.
What does following someone do?
Following lets you keep up with people you trust, and you get notified when someone you follow posts an alert. Following is one-directional and never shares your location.
Is my location and data private?
Your live location is only shared during an active SOS, and only with the recipients you chose. We do not sell your data. See the Privacy Policy for the full details.
Why do I need to be 18 and add a phone number?
Noxentry is built for adults (18+). A phone number is optional, but it lets trusted contacts find you and helps keep the community trustworthy.
Which areas are covered?
Official coverage is strongest in our launch regions (parts of Germany and Spain) and keeps growing. Community alerts and the SOS features work anywhere you have the app.
How do I delete my account?
Go to Profile, open the Account section, and tap Delete account. This permanently erases your profile, your alerts and your SOS contacts, and cannot be undone.
